Aseptuva: Exciting Pilot Project about to Start

🆕 Convert2Green OITB partners are thrilled to start the pilot project of Aseptuva, one of the successful applicants in the first cut-off of our opencall. 🥇

⚕ Aseptuva is a medtech startup with the vision to prevent Hospital-Acquired Infections. Their targeted Far-UVC-based in-situ disinfection device is an effective alternative to traditional methods of catheter care in hospitals, which currently rely on manual interventions such as hand hygiene, wound cleansing, and antibiotics.

💊 Aseptuva’s solution offers unique advantages such as: handsfree functionality, catheter stabilisation, and sustained disinfection performance over long durations. This will significantly reduce the burden on health workers and lower material wastage arising from multiple dressing changes and catheter replacement in patients.

🌿 Convert2Green project will advance the device’s development by incorporating environment-friendly and biocompatible materials and sustainable manufacturing processes, followed by an LCA and cost-calculation of the production.
